1. Platform Nature & Eligibility

Start It is an online collaboration platform designed to connect founders who have venture ideas with freelancers and builders seeking impactful opportunities.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You represent that all information provided in your profile, pitches, and applications is accurate and authentic.
  • Start It operates solely as a discovery and networking venue and is not an employer, partner, or legal agent of any user.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Protecting creative and technical output is essential:

  • Founder Ideas: Founders retain full ownership of the concepts, trademarks, and pitch details they share.
  • Builder Deliverables: Unless explicitly agreed otherwise between the parties via mutual contract, freelancers retain copyright in their pre-existing background technology.
  • Direct Agreements: Users are encouraged to execute independent Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) or IP assignment contracts when formalizing co-founder equity or paid deliverables.

3. Acceptable Use & Conduct

To maintain a respectful, professional ecosystem, members agree not to:

  • Post fraudulent pitches, phishing schemes, or misleading compensation terms.
  • Harass, stalk, or send unsolicited spam to other members via platform direct messages.
  • Scrape platform profiles or reverse-engineer the Start It matching infrastructure.

4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Start It is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee the success, solvency, or suitability of any founder or freelancer discovered on the platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Start It shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform interactions.
